Earlier this year, famous chef Jamie Oliver and wife Juliette ‘Jools’ Norton renewed their vows in a distinctively Las Vegas style ceremony. The original ceremony, held in July 2000, has now been relived at the iconic Graceland Wedding Chapel, accompanied by an Elvis impersonator for good measure.
The 49-year-old Jamie dazzled in a grey suit topped off with aviator sunglasses, while Jools went for the casual look, donning jeans, cowboy boots and an airy top. After the ceremony, Jamie took to Instagram to express his joy: “Happy 24th wedding anniversary, Jools Oliver,” he excitedly added, “Twenty-four years ! ! Love you – Las Vagus baby ! ! @gracelandweddingchapellv big love really good fun, Jamie x”.
Accompanying his post were various photos reflecting on their life together, even harking back to their earlier Essex church wedding where Elvis was also present. Jools responded in kind with her own heartfelt message: “Happy 24 crazy married years together. I love you so much, thank you for indulging my LOVE for Elvis.
“I know this marriage has 3 people in it… but you get me like NO other! Just you wait and see what I have planned for our 25th Jamie Oliver.”
Jamie Oliver and his wife, Jools, who are parents to five children – Poppy, 21, Daisy, 20, Petal, 14, Buddy, 12, and River, seven, decided to reconfirm their commitment with a vow renewal ceremony last year. Jamie posted photos of the heart-warming beach ceremony held in the picturesque Maldives on Instagram in April.
He captioned the post, “Morning all, me and Jools Oliver got married again!”, reports Birmingham Live.
“Yep, after 23 years together, we thought it would be a special moment to celebrate renewing our wedding vows before the kids all start leaving the nest. It was really special, funny and romantic with the words in the ceremony making more sense having come this far together.”
Adding on, he wrote: “It seems like a blink since the first wedding which we kept very private apart from the paparazzi at the village church, we thought it would be a happy and joyful moment to share with you all this Easter.
“We’ve always dreamed of going to the Maldives and it was just as you would have dreamed, simply amazing!”.
