Women’s World Cup Final Preview | Spain vs England Picks & Prop Bets

Must read

Women’s soccer takes center stage on Sunday morning when England plays Spain in the Women’s World Cup Final, with the winner claiming their first-ever title.

The English side is no stranger to finals after winning the Euros last summer and the Women’s Finalissima earlier this year.

Meanwhile, no nation boasts better metrics than La Roja, who enter the fixture as the slight betting favorite.

The Action Network has had you covered with our favorite betting props throughout the tournament, and we have our final two to close out the summer event.

Here’s our Women’s World Cup Final preview with prop picks.

World Cup Picks – Spain vs England

Goal from 76th Minute to Full-Time – Yes (+130 via Caesars)

The theme to my pair of bets stems from my belief that there will be more goals happening later in the match as opposed to early, starting with a goal to be scored from the 76th minute to the end of the game at +130 odds via Caesars.

This has been a very profitable bet for both nations. If we look at the last three tournaments for Spain, this same play would have cashed in 10-of-13 games, which includes four fixtures at this World Cup.

Meanwhile, the same can be said for England, with this hitting in 62% of matches when you combine the Euros last summer, the Finalissima and this competition.

As I mentioned above, the Lionesses have played in multiple finals recently, and those games still follow this trend. This prop was still a winner in those two championship fixtures.

England like to try to get out to an early lead and hold on until the full-time. Once you add in the fact that Spain have scored four goals after the 76th minute at the World Cup, I like our chances of that hitting again here.

Half with Most Goals – Second Half  (+126 via FanDuel)

Following the theme from above, I also like the price offered for the second half to be the half with the most goals at +126 odds via FanDuel.

Whenever you have a soccer final, you will often see a slow start before the match opens up after the break.

This trend has cashed in three of the last four finals at the women’s World Cup and the Euros and two of the previous three gold medal games at the Olympics.

How has this played out for these two nations specifically? Well, this would have been a winning ticket in the last two matches for England and in four of their last seven knockout fixtures or finals.

As for Spain, three of La Roja’s four games played outside of the group stages at their last two tournaments have seen this same play get to the betting window.

My lean would be to back the Spanish side to win the cup, but I’m just hoping for a slow start with late dramatics to get us home with our final props at the Women’s World Cup.
