LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky women’s tennis has announced its 2024 fall match slate which will kick off tomorrow and run throughout the weekend in Greenville, S.C. at the Annual Debbie Southern Furman Fall Classic, Sept. 13-15.
The 2024-25 squad is comprised of two newcomers, Tess Bucher and Asuncion Jadue, and six returners from last season’s Wildcat team, Zoe Hammond, Ellie Eades, Ellie Myers, Lizzy Stevens, Lidia Gonzalez and Julia Zhu.
Following this weekend’s tournament, the Cats will then set their sights on ITA All-American Championships in Cary, N.C. (Sept. 21-29) and the Charlotte Invite held in Charlotte, N.C. (Sept. 27-29).
Kentucky will then travel to Charlottesville, Va. to start the month of October at the Wahoowa Invite, Oct. 4-6.
The Wildcats will take their next road trip to Tennessee for two tournaments – ITA Regional Championships in Murfreesboro, Tenn. (Oct. 10-14) and the Vanderbilt Invite in Nashville, Tenn. (Oct. 25-27).
The remainder of the fall schedule will feature ITA Sectional Championships in Athens, Ga. (Nov. 7-10) and ITA Conference Masters Championship in San Diego (Nov. 7-10) for qualifying Wildcats. The fall will close out with NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships in Waco, Texas from Nov. 18-24.
