Where to Watch/Listen: 2023 Travers Stakes Week

Must read

One of the biggest weekends on the North American horse racing calendar is just around the corner, as Saratoga Race Course hosts the 164th running of the Travers Stakes for 3-year-olds Saturday, Aug. 26, supported by four other graded stakes on the undercard. That’s just part of a superb five-day stretch at the Spa starting on Wednesday, Aug. 23 that also includes the Personal Ensign Stakes for fillies and mares on Friday, Aug. 25 and six stakes races for New York-breds on Sunday, Aug. 27.

The Travers and other stakes races on Saturday will air nationwide on FOX during a 3 ½-hour “FOX Saratoga Saturday” program. Other racing from Saratoga on Saturday as well as action Wednesday-Sunday will air on NYRA’s ongoing “Saratoga Live” show either on FS2 or FS1 this week – check the below schedule for dates and times.

There’s plenty of other top-class racing on hand this weekend, highlighted by the Pat O’Brien Stakes, a Breeders’ Cup “Win and You’re In” race, set for Saturday at Del Mar and the $1 million Charles Town Classic Stakes Friday evening at Charles Town Races. Both of those races will be shown live on FanDuel TV, which will also broadcast racing daily from Gulfstream Park, Woodbine, and many other tracks as part of its comprehensive package.

In addition to the North American coverage, FS2 and FanDuel TV will both broadcast the Juddmonte International Stakes Wednesday at York Racecourse in England, which is a Challenge Series automatic qualifier for the Longines Breeders’ Cup Classic.

Horse racing from tracks around the world is available to subscribers on Racetrack Television Network (RTN), which can be livestreamed on all devices (computer, tablet and smartphone) and on TV via DISH Network, Amazon Fire and Roku.
