A woman named Hayley Madigan from England’s Portsmouth got angry about what happened when she wore shorts to bask in the sunshine. She expressed her discomfort with the attention received from men for her clothing choice.
With the summer season, many people were seen swapping their winter clothes for spring outfits. They packed away heavy hoodies and woolly socks and wore shorts and sandals. Hayley Madigan, a fitness influencer, was upset with men who stared at her when she wore shorts. She doesn’t get why wearing shorts makes guys look at her more.
Hayley remembered why she doesn’t like wearing shorts in the summer. She shared her frustration on social media with her fan following. Hayley wrote on social media, “Now I remember why I don’t like wearing shorts.”
Hayley Madigan said, “It seems wearing shorts gives men the green light to beep, stare, and whistle much more than usual.” Despite often wearing shorts at the gym and during workouts, the influencer often feels uneasy wearing them in public due to unwanted attention from men.
Madigan, time and again, keeps her fans posted about her workout regime. She believes it’s important for men and women to be treated equally. Haley shared that women often have to change how they live to stay safe because they don’t always feel safe where they are. She even said that women have never been treated as well as men. She further expressed that feminism isn’t about making men feel bad, but about making women feel better about themselves.
Another woman Anne, who is a mother also wore short shorts and sought opinions on her attire via social media. In a TikTok post, she flaunted her curves and abs in a low-cut cropped top paired with matching drawstring shorts. Anne revealed her husband’s concern about the outfit choice for picking up their kids from school.
While Anne got compliments on her looks, many users said her clothes weren’t right for picking up kids from school. One person said, “If you got it, you can show it off, but not at school. “Honestly, it’s not right for that,” added another.
