Meinhardt UK has bolstered its existing MEP team and newly-created infrastructure team, with two senior promotions, and two hires. Chris Grubb becomes a director, while Sam Courtney has been elevated to associate director. Meanwhile, Dean Coughlan and Liam Clark also join as directors.
As MEP Operations Director, Dean Coughlan will lead the firm’s building services team in collaboration with Meinhardt (UK) board directors Mark Bryan and Martin Taylor.
Commenting on his appointment, Dean Coughlan said, “I’m thrilled to be part of Meinhardt’s management team and look forward to leading signature projects across both the UK and Middle East. This is a dynamic time for the market as client requirements are ever-evolving, particularly with the introduction of the Building Safety Act, which is exciting from a design-led engineering perspective.”
As MEP Technical Director, Liam Clark will take on another board level director role in the building services sector, following a 26-year career in the sector. He has worked on notable projects across London and the South East covering a variety of sectors, including residential, commercial, heritage and historic, healthcare, and ecclesiastical.
Clark added, “It’s an exciting time to be joining the business, with some very interesting and varied projects either just beginning, or in the pipeline. I’m looking forward to applying the knowledge and skills I’ve built over my career, to strengthen and improve our offering and ensure projects continue to be delivered efficiently, innovatively, and successfully.”
At the same time, Chris Grubb has been promoted to regional director after seven years at Meinhardt during a 30-year career in the industry – and will lead a newly created infrastructure team to deliver national and international projects across various sectors.
Meanwhile, having joined Meinhardt 18 months ago as senior associate, Sam Courtney has been promoted to associate director. He has experience across the commercial sector, including CAT A and B fit-outs, building refurbishment, and new builds.
Mark Bryan, Board Director at Meinhardt commented, “Both promotions are truly well deserved. Chris, for his continued work ethic across all Meinhardt consulting engineering disciplines, while Sam has made excellent headways within our commercial sector offering. On behalf of the board directors we look forward to seeing the team work on our diverse portfolio of individual buildings right the way through to huge international master plans.”
Launched over 65 years ago, Meinhardt is a global consulting firm whose clients include developers, construction companies, government agencies, multinational corporations and NGOs. The firm’s 5,000-strong global team work across 51 offices to deliver projects around the world.
