GU, a sister brand of Uniqlo and a Fast Retailing Group retailer, unveiled on Wednesday a new collaboration with fashion brand Rokh, set to launch on October 18.
Founded by designer Rok Hwang in 2016, Rokh has earned a reputation for blending modern trends with a timeless, seasonless approach.
The theme of the collection, ‘Play in Style’, captures Rokh’s signature artful tailoring and layering techniques, combined with GU’s philosophy of fashion as a form of freedom. The collection features muted color palettes that reinterpret classic silhouettes in a playful way.
The 22-piece collection was designed to offer endless mix-and-match possibilities, staying true to GU’s brand philosophy of Mini edit Max rooted in Max style and quality with Mini prices and curated collections. The easy-to-understand assortment of practical, on-trend items allows for more styling options with fewer products.
GU opened last month its first permanent U.S. store in New York City’s SoHo district, as well as launched its U.S. e-commerce site and app. The opening marks the brand’s first flagship outside of Asia.
The collection will be available at the SoHo store, located at 578 Broadway in New York, and online.
