Dimitar Berbatov’s goal is to reshape the Bulgarian football landscape
Bulgaria’s EURO 2024 qualifier on Thursday was mired by thousands of fans protesting the management of the national football union. The country that famously reached the semifinals of the 1994 World Cup has failed to qualify for any major tournament in two decades. CNN World Sport’s Amanda Davies has been speaking with former Bulgaria and Manchester United star Dimitar Berbatov, who has so far unsuccessfully challenged current BFU president Borislav Mihaylov.
