bet365 bonus code: NYPNEWS earns your choice of offer in 9 states all week

Must read

bet365 Sportsbook is offering new users one of two promotions for any this week and beyond.

Use bet365 bonus code NYPNEWS to sign up in nine U.S. states, and you’ll get your choice of welcome bonus.

All new users will either get $150 in bonus bets guaranteed or a $2,000 first bet safety net.

The $150 in bonus bets requires a $10 deposit and $5 wager on any line that’s -500 or longer (meaning -150 or +110 are OK but -650 is not). The $2,000 first bet safety net acts as first bet insurance, refunding users up to $2,000 in bonus bets if their first bet on the platform loses.

bet365 bonus codes, explained

Let’s run through some examples from this week for both offers.

$2,000 first bet safety net

This offer functions as an “insurance” bet. Sportsbooks call it different things, like a no sweat bet or a first bet on the house, but they all work pretty much the same.

If your first bet loses, you’ll be refunded in bonus bets equal to what you lost, up to $2,000. So if you deposit $500 and put it all on the 76ers at +400 against the Cavs on Monday night, here’s what can happen:

  • If the Sixers win, you’ll profit $2,000 ($500 x 4.0) and keep your $500 wager. So you now have $2,500 withdrawable cash in your account, and the promo is over.
  • If the Sixers lose, you get $500 back in bonus bets.

bet365’s bonus bets are favorable in that you can split them up in any increments you’d like. They do now expire in seven days, and they work like most other sportsbooks. Any profit you keep, but you don’t keep the bonus bet itself, and they’re not withdrawable.

So let’s say the Sixers lose and you have zero cash in your account but $500 in bonus bets. You take $100 in bonus bets and put it on Ryan Blaney to win the Daytona 500 at +900.

  • If Blaney wins, you profit $900 in cash, but you don’t keep your $100 bonus bet. So you’ll now have $900 withdrawable cash and $400 bonus bets remaining.
  • If Blaney loses, you just lose the bonus bet and you’ll have $400 left.

Bet $5, get $150 in bonus bets

This offer should really be called “deposit $10, bet $5, and get $150” just to make sure you hit the minimum deposit requirement.

Nevertheless, it’s quite straightforward. Just make a $5+ bet on anything that’s -500 or longer, and you’ll get $150 in bonus bets to use on anything — -500 in this case means -400 or -110 are OK, but -550 is not.

The bonus bets expire in seven days, and can be split up into any increment. So you can make a $150 bet and use them in one fell swoop, or you can make 150, $1 bets. And everything in between.

So say you make a $5 bet on the Pacers -9.5 to unlock your bonus bets on Monday night. Then Tuesday, you place a $20 bonus bet wager on Oklahoma to beat Baylor at +180.

  • If Baylor wins, your bonus bet just goes away and you’ll have $130 bonus bets left.
  • If Oklahoma wins, you’ll profit $36 ($20 x 1.8) in cash but you don’t keep your $20 bonus bet wager. So you now have $130 bonus bets remaining, plus $36 in cash, plus whatever you deposited.
