Bally and CEO Nicolas Girotto have parted ways. The executive himself announced his departure on LinkedIn, saying he is ready for new professional challenges “after an incredible and fulfilling journey” with the Swiss label.
Girotto, born in France but based in Switzerland, joined Bally in October 2015, also becoming a member of its board and executive committee.
“Leading this brand, which has been a symbol of craftsmanship since 1851, has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Over the years, we’ve achieved so much together—navigating the complexities of Covid-19, embracing digital transformation, drastically improving our sustainability footprint and, most recently, witnessing Bally reclaim its authority on the global fashion stage,” said Girotto.
Bally recently showed at Milan Fashion Week, presenting the Spring/Summer 2025 collection by Creative Director Simone Bellotti, who brought a fresh, artistic feel to the runway show, fusing together the label’s Swiss heritage with plenty of innovation and creativity.
“I want to express my heartfelt appreciation for our artisans in Caslano, whose craftsmanship continues to preserve the Swiss manufacturing tradition, and to our brand ambassadors, who passionately share the Bally story with our customers every day, proudly representing the brand,” added Girotto.
Bally was founded in 1851 by Carl Franz Bally and is based in Caslano, Switzerland. The company employs some 1,400 people worldwide. In August, Bally’s former proprietor Jab Holding, owned by billionaire German family Reimann, sold the label to Californian investment firm Regent LP. In 2018, Jab Holding considered selling Bally to Chinese group Shandong Ruyi, but a deal was not agreed upon.
