Amazon is hiring for more than 15,000 seasonal positions across its UK network of receive centres, fulfilment centres, sortation centres and delivery stations during the festive season.
Pay for these Operations roles start at a minimum of £13.50 p/h rising to £14.50 p/h depending on location.
Amazon has invested £550m in increased pay for operations employees across the UK since 2022, representing a 35% increase in the hourly rate in just two years. In September, the company announced that the minimum starting pay for frontline operations employees was rising to between £13.50 and £14.50 p/h, depending on location, and to between £13.75 and £14.75p/h for those with 36 months service.
The increase of at least 9.8% was effective from 29 September and benefits tens of thousands of frontline operations employees across the UK. This increase equates to annual starting salary of between £28,080 and £30,160, depending on location, for full-time frontline employees across the country.
From day one, all employees are offered a comprehensive benefits package including private medical insurance, life assurance, income protection, subsidized meals and an employee discount. Together, these benefits are worth more than £700 annually, and employees can take advantage of our company pension plan.
“We prepare year-round for the festive season, and we’re excited to have more than 15,000 positions available this year in the UK. Our seasonal colleagues play an integral role in helping us deliver an exceptional experience for our customers,” said UK Operations Director Anil Verma. “We look forward to welcoming back seasonal workers who return year-after-year to Amazon, and to welcoming new faces to the team.”
