With winter in full force, many people would be looking to book holidays some place warm to get away.

If your purse strings are feeling a bit tight, you might be in luck as Corendon Airlines, a Turkish carrier that began operating from the UK just last year, has announced a buy one get one free deal. 

This promotion, running until January 12, applies to all routes departing between January 21 and September 30, making it an attractive option for travellers planning their holidays.

One standout deal includes two tickets to Antalya from London Gatwick for just £114.32 in January. 

While the second flight is free, passengers will still need to pay applicable airline taxes. 

The sale also includes flights to popular destinations like Crete in Greece. 

For instance, two summer flights from Manchester to Crete could cost just £199 total.

The deal scales with the number of bookings: three flights result in one free ticket, while booking four flights earns two free tickets.

Since its founding in 2004 and the launch of its first flights in 2005, Corendon Airlines has grown significantly. 

From its UK operations, the airline now offers flights from seven airports, including London Gatwick, Manchester, Birmingham, Newcastle, Bristol, and Glasgow. 

Recent expansions include routes to Dalaman, introduced last year, and Hurghada in Egypt.

Looking ahead, Corendon is adding new destinations like Izmir in Turkey in 2024, with further route expansions planned.

Matthew Carpenter, Corendon’s UK country manager, said: “We carry six million passengers each year to holiday destinations, including Turkey, Spain, Greece, Morocco, and Egypt, from various European countries.

“2025 will see continued growth as we increase seat capacity, expand our destinations, and launch projects that deliver exceptional service.”

Corendon Airlines offers its passengers two carry-on bags: one larger bag (55x40x25cm, up to 8kg) and a smaller personal item that fits under the seat. 

The airline also made headlines in 2023 by introducing “kid-free zones” on flights between Amsterdam and Curacao. 

This adults-only area, featuring 93 seats, costs around €45 each way and provides a quieter experience for passengers.

In addition to unique seating options, Corendon recently added doner kebabs to its in-flight menu. 

The £6.60 snack, introduced on January 1, is currently available on flights between Germany and Turkey, making it one of the first airlines to serve the popular dish in the skies.
